About Us
Udupi Shree Adamaru Matha Education Council (USAMEC or AMEC) is a society registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960.
The visionary savant Parama Poojya Shree Shree Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji of Shree Adamaru Matha established Udupi Shree Adamaru Matha Education Council in the year 1962 with the view of serving the nation by providing the right kind of education to the nation’s youth. He was also the founding president of USAMEC. Udupi Shree Adamaru Matha Education Council was started with the specific aim of imparting right kind of education to the future generation and infusing a spirit of patriotism in children of the nation.
The USAMEC continues to own, run, support and maintain educational institutions for imparting value-based education from Kindergarten to Post Graduation. These Institutions are spread across the country - located in Adamaru, Udupi, Padubidiri, Bengaluru, Belur, Aldur, Sangameshwarapet and Bhadravathi in the State of Karnataka and in Mumbai and in New Delhi. The disciplines, apart from general schooling, include Science, Philosophy, Commerce, Management, Technology etc.
Our Objectives
- Bulding Students... Building nation, through Education, Perseverance and Values.
- To promote education and diffusion of knowledge relating to Arts, Science, Philosophy, Commerce, Technology and other branches of knowledge.
- To establish, take over and maintain institutions for imparting such education and knowledge in all its stages and aspects; and to undertake ancillary activities.
- To establish, take over and maintain hostels, libraries, reading rooms, hospitals, workshops, laboratories, etc., in furtherance of the above objectives.
- To extend relief to victims of natural calamities like fire, drought, famine, flood, earthquake, etc.
- To publish journals, books, periodicals, pamphlets in furtherance of the above objects.
- To do such other things as are incidental and conducive to the attainment of the above objects.
Here are some highlights:
- All the Poornaprajna Institutions governed by USAMEC have secured excellent results in public examinations.
- They also continue to do very well in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
- With a view to encourage sports activities, Inter-Poornaprajna Games Meet for High Schools and Primary Schools in different Poornaprajna Education Centers every year are being hosted on rotation basis.
- Special Workshops and Seminars are being conducted, involving teaching staff, to improve their methodology in teaching. Specifically for the purpose of training the teachers in right direction.
- Poornaprajna Institute of Faculty Improvement has been established by AMEC at Bangalore.
The precious gift of AMEC to Indian science education is, through Adamaru Matha Education Foundation (AMEF), the Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research (PPISR) at Bangalore. The institute has proved its fruitful existence and the areas of research initiated at the Institute are recognized internationally.
